The girl committed suicide 4 days after the incident. One of his friends told his parents that he was gang-raped. As soon as the information was received, the police traced the youths seen in the video and the picture. Of these, three turned out to be 14-15 years old and the remaining two were 18 and 19 years old.

The police took the five into custody. In the court, the lawyer also called these five suspects behind the death of the girl. The juvenile judge has ordered the three minors to be kept in a closed institution and the remaining two accused have been arrested.
The mayor of Guevara has said on the incident that he knew the victim very well and what happened to her was very appalling and inhuman. Justice Minister Vincent van Quikernborn promised on Twitter that those behind the incident would be brought to justice. Terming the incident as disgusting, the minister said, "There are no words to describe it. The suspects have been arrested and investigation is on.”

In this case, Delhi Police had given information on Tuesday (June 1, 2021). After registering an FIR, the police had produced the accused cleric in the court. The court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.
